Reflection¶
Throughout the process of creating this sculpture, I learned that good eyes are needed to solder (everything is a lot smaller than I was expecting), and that getting a precise solder is difficult. I started by soldering my 12 pin header, and my sculpture reflects my progressive improvement of solder beads as I gained experience. These solder beans and pins represent snow. Then, I used pliers to start shaping the brass rod. Inspired by the cold and snowy New York weather and my upbringing in Switzerland, I designed a mountainous figure atop the 12 pin header, and continued practicing my soldering skills by connecting parts of the brass rod together.
